Erin Menatian is a fine art photographer and book artist from West Hartford, CT.  Her work is grounded in the exploration of personal psychology, employing visual metaphor to convey universal human experiences. She is interested in the photographic image as poetry, and in the written, poetic form as a visual medium. Her artist’s books combine these two genres.

Menatian received her BS in Education and Human Development from the University of Rhode Island, and her MFA in Photography/Media Arts from Maine Media College. Her work has been exhibited at galleries and museums throughout the U.S., including the Minneapolis Photo Center, the Griffin Museum of Photography, and the New Britain Museum of American Art.
